Sunshine committee
The Sunshine Committee was established to provide support for military members and families in their time of need. We recognize that every situation and hardship is different and treat all information as confidential. Cases are handled though members' chains of command and the Sunshine Committee of the EBCGSC only. Please contact us via email at eastbayspouses@gmail.com for more information. The Sunshine Committee will assist you the best we can or direct you to the correct support for your specific needs.
Layette Gift Basket
The East Bay Coast Guard Spouses Club will assemble and arrange the delivery of a Layette basket for any Active Duty (or Reserve) member, in the Greater San Francisco East Bay Area, whose pay grade is E-5 and below and expecting a new baby. Our baskets contains things a new “Little Coastie” might need such as a hand made quilt, diapers, onesies, sleepers, bath and care products, towels, hat, socks, bibs, as well as an outfit and toy.
We raise funds to pay for these welcome baskets by an Annual Yard Sale, bake sales, and our office Plate Lunches. Funds raised in these endeavors enable us to give these layette Baskets, free, to those who qualify.
The Layette application can be download here to nominate a qualifying family. The form can be mailed to our P.O. Box or can be emailed to Michele Langford at michelemlangford@aol.com.

Chief Call To Initiation Spouses Brunch
The East Bay Coast Guard Spouses Club will host a spouses brunch in conjunction with the Greater Bay Area Chiefs Mess during the first week of Chiefs Call To Initiation. This brunch allows spouses of the Chiefs going through the process to learn factual information on it, meet the leaders, ask questions and develop a plan of how to navigate the next nine weeks.
